Each sculpture from the It is in our hands series inspired a series of prints. The emergence of the image from darkness and their uniqueness speaks to endurance and patience.

Humans are a migratory species.
Humans are a territorial species.
Humans are an invasive species.
Humans are capable of the best and the worst.
Borders are horrific human constructions that create suffering.
Nations are antiquated human constructions that create suffering.
This project is a series of mixed-media sculptures. I am mostly using cement, barbed wire, and shoelaces in these works. The molds come from discarded packaging found in garbage bins. The materials reflect the ruins of the violent history of nations. I also use hands and feet in the sculptures.
The coloured strings are shoelaces.
